Warnings: The Holocaust, Ukraine, and Endangered American Democracy by Leonard Grob and John J. Roth

Join us for an in-person, live-recorded interview of Dr. Leonard Grob and Dr. John J. Roth at the Puffin Cultural Forum. “Lenny” Grob and John J. Roth are old friends and academics who have long studied the Holocaust. In their book Warnings, they discuss features of American cultural and political discourse that most threaten democracy in the United States. They argue for ethical patriotism and urge Americans to be their best selves, defend liberal democracy, strive for inclusive pluralism, reject antisemitism and racism, oppose hypocrisy and autocracy, and hold lying leaders accountable. They believe that democracy can win out if we never give up in trying to be our best.

There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions following the interview.
